First Online Review of Emran Restaurant in Spokane! ππ¦π«
π Emran Restaurant After watching the sunset over the wheat fields at Steptoe, we headed back to the city and decided to try this Afghan restaurant. Though Google said it closed at 10 PM, the owner kindly took our reservation for 9:45 PM for a group of 10 β and waited for us to finish our meal! ππ½οΈ πͺ Uzbeki Pulau My most anticipated dish β and it did not disappoint! ππ Similar to lamb pilaf, but lighter and less oily than the Xinjiang-style version. Made with long-grain rice and served with a tender lamb chop. The only difference between this and Kabuli Pulau is how the ingredients are layered vs. mixed. πͺ Manto Traditional Afghan dumplings filled with minced meat π₯β¨. The filling was good, but the real star was the sauce on top β a flavorful blend of crushed tomatoes, yogurt, chili, and cilantro. Tangy, spicy, and aromatic! πͺ Beef & Lamb Kabab with Naan Classic Middle Eastern grilled meat with flatbread π₯©π«. We tried both meats, and everyone agreed the beef kabab was the best! The naan was served warm β perfect for dipping in yogurt sauce. The side of sweet onions with black pepper also paired wonderfully with the meat. πͺ Special Okra Curry Okra cooked in a secret sweet and sour sauce ππΏ. A tasty and interesting veggie option! πͺ Meatballs Curried meatballs β decent but not outstanding π§π€·ββοΈ. β¨ Overall A very worthwhile dining experience! The prices were fair, and the owner was incredibly kind β he even waited until nearly 11 PM for us to finish. At checkout, he manually entered $0 tip π² β our per-person cost was just $19! The restaurant also sells Afghan specialty products β great for browsing after your meal ποΈπ§‘. Highly recommended if youβre looking for something flavorful, affordable, and full of heart! #SpokaneEats #AfghanFood #EmranRestaurant #HiddenGems #FoodReview #SpokaneFoodie #GlobalCuisine
