First Snow & Korean Food - A Perfect Match! ❄️
After watching a Korean food vlog the other day, I'd been craving jajangmyeon (black bean noodles) and tangsuyuk (sweet and sour pork). Many recommended Seoul Jangteo in Allston for authentic versions, so I made a trip today to satisfy my cravings. Just as we were eating, Boston's first snow began falling outside—making the atmosphere absolutely magical. Not sure how "authentic" it is, but who cares when it's this delicious! 🦐 Seafood Jajangmyeon The seafood consisted mainly of shrimp and squid. The noodles were on the softer side, almost like Korean sweet potato noodles, but the savory black bean sauce was full of flavor. 🍖 Tangsuyuk The pork was fried to a perfect crisp—so good even without dipping the sauce! 🍲 Soft Tofu Stew with Beef A whole egg was hidden at the bottom, and the broth was rich with doenjang (soybean paste) and kimchi flavors. So comforting on a cold day! We cleaned up all three dishes between two adults—definitely hit the spot! One small note: the banchan (side dishes) were a bit limited—we only received sweet and sour radish, kimchi, and spicy cabbage. #BostonEats #WinterAndFood #FirstSnow #KoreanFood #Tangsuyuk #Jajangmyeon #Allston
