Fishing, Crabbing & Pure Relaxation! 🎣🦀

Just spent the perfect laid-back weekend in Westport - a quiet harbor town just 2.5 hours from Seattle (Eastside). If you love fishing, crabbing, or surfing, this is your spot! 🎣 Fishing at Westport Light State Park: Need a Discovery Pass (don’t forget!) Park amenities: Flush toilets + outdoor showers (surfers use them too!) Jetty fishing: Walk a few minutes from the parking lot to the jetty. You can fish anywhere along the rocks, but if you're adventurous, hike 40+ minutes to the end (watch for big gaps between boulders!). Best time: Incoming tide = nonstop bites! We caught 2-3 lb Black Rockfish as beginners! 🎉 🦀 Crabbing at Float 20 (Boat Dock): Super popular spot - tons of people trying their luck! We used big crab pots but got skunked 😑 (next time, we’ll try the rod-and-cast method—others were catching fast with it!). Silver lining: The dock has gorgeous views! ⛺ Camping at Twin Harbors State Park: Flush toilets + free showers (but low privacy—sites are close together). Pro tip: Pack bug spray—tiny flying critters love the grassy fields! Fresh fish dinner: Grilled our catch right at camp—so delicious! 🌧️ Even got a stunning rainbow after an evening rain shower. #FishingLife #CrabSeason #SaltwaterFishing #WestportWA #JettyFishing #CampfireCooking #PNWAdventures #OceanVibes #SeattleWeekends #SurfAndTurf
