Florida|Gainesville|Sweetwater Wetlands Park 🐊🐦
This is the closest wetland park to the University of Florida — Sweetwater Wetlands Park.❤️ It's a constructed wetland habitat spanning over 125 acres. The park is even shaped like an alligator’s head! 🐊 There are several miles of walking trails where you can spot wildlife and plants everywhere. Sweetwater Wetlands Park was designed to help improve water quality by filtering out pollutants and nutrients. We arrived around 6 PM and saw alligators, great blue herons, warblers, sandhill cranes, snowy egrets, and more. It's said that the park is home to around 259 species of birds. 🐦 Parking is available at the entrance, and the entry fee is $5 per vehicle per day.👌 Address: Sweetwater Wetlands Park💕 325 SW Williston Rd, Gainesville, FL 32601 📷 Fujifilm X-S10 #Florida #UniversityOfFlorida #Gainesville #UF #USAParks #LifeInTheUSA #FloridaTravel #DayTrip #NatureWalk 🌿🇺🇸
