Food & Drinks at Riggs Washington DC ๐ธโจ
I originally planned to just recommend the hotel, but I absolutely have to mention Riggs Cafe and the super famous bar Silver Lyan inside! When searching for a hotel in DC, I was immediately drawn to this one. Itโs a five-star hotel but surprisingly affordable (around $300+ per night). The real surprise came after booking โ I found out that the hotelโs basement bar is the renowned Silver Lyan! My husband got super excited when he heard the name. ๐ฅ๐ Even better, the hotelโs restaurant, Riggs Cafe, has great reviews and is beautifully decorated. I was a bit shy to take too many photos since everyone was quietly enjoying their breakfast, but I snapped a few quick ones โ though they really donโt do the space justice! For breakfast, I ordered the pancakes โ they were incredibly light and fluffy. My husband had the Eggs Benedict, which was also delicious. ๐ฅ๐ณ In the evening, we visited the bar (reservations are recommended, but as hotel guests, they did their best to accommodate us). I tried two non-alcoholic cocktails โ both were delicious and not overly sweet. The bar has a strong London-inspired vibe, and the quality of the drinks is seriously top-notch. ๐ฌ๐งโค๏ธ Have you been to Silver Lyan or tried a speakeasy-style bar in a hotel before?
