Food Hunt - An Italian Restaurant Perfect for a Date to Show Off

šŸ“ Vendemmia The grass planted by my teammate from a colleague, we tried it out today. Carb lovers are too into pasta. The appetizers were a surprise; overall, it was quite good – a restaurant I’d like to visit again. šŸ“They have a tasting menu, but after the server introduced the recommended dishes, we, the first-timers, decided to order our own food. šŸ“Foccacia: To be honest, this was my most disappointing dish… The bread didn’t quite taste like Foccacia, it was more like Sourdough but the texture was somewhere in between. Because of my obsession with dipping it in olive oil, I still finished a piece. šŸ“Roasted King Trumpet Mushrooms: The most surprising dish. It truly felt like eating meaty mushrooms. The juice of the king oyster mushrooms was all locked in, wrapped in the oil of the sauce, avoiding a too watery taste like boiled vegetables. Even eating it with greens added another layer of flavor. šŸ“Snap Peas Dungeness Crab: One of the server’s recommended specialties; it seemed like every table ordered one. At first bite, it was like taking a deep and then a shallow bite. The crab meat itself was creamy, but the endive and snap peas were a bit bitter. The proportion of these two determines the taste of each bite. It’s the kind of dish that gets better with every bite, perhaps a feeling of being both healthy and refreshing, with a hint of richness. šŸ“Tonnarelli del mar: The server’s top recommended pasta. I was surprised by the pasta! The restaurant’s main feature is that all pasta is homemade – it’s so delicious! The pasta itself was a bit chewy, the kind that makes you want to dip and finish a whole bowl. Ironically, the seafood was a bit overshadowed and had a strong taste of the sea, luckily it didn’t really affect the pasta. My teammate and I finished the pasta with satisfaction. šŸ“Pork Osso Bucco: Still a recommended dish, my teammate loved it. Personally, I thought it was just okay. The meat was stewed tender and there was no worry of pork odor, but the seasoning was more like a stewed meat, even similar to the seasoning of a clear stewed lamb chop. Hard for me to give a high score with my preference for bold flavors. šŸ“Tiramisu: It felt like a standard, delicious Tiramisu. Eating it after the meal amplified the happiness. My teammate and I had a heated discussion about who made it better – me or the restaurant. Someone with a strong sense of self-preservation said mine was better, but this one was more authentic… šŸ“Fully satisfied after the meal, I think I’ll come back to try other dishes. My biggest regret this time was hesitating between the crab and beef tartare and not ordering the beef tartare. It’s already on my must-order list for next time, hoping it won’t disappoint. šŸ“Attached is a photo of the sunset sky taken on a whim after eating.
