Foodie Finds | SURA Restaurant
❣️DC Dining Adventure The flavors of the dishes are perfect for Asian tastes. The salmon has a distinct Thai flair, with spices and lemon flavors that hit the spot, and the fried shrimp seems to use the same dipping sauce. The spicy noodles aren’t spicy, with a gluey texture and a rich flavor that has a hint of cheese. ❣️The desserts were all pretty average; the grapefruit creme brulee was just roasted grapefruit with a sugar shell. The banana spring rolls had a weird smell of stinky feet after being heated… The most standard was the lychee creme brulee. ❣️The ambiance is a bit quirky as soon as you walk in, with walls covered in old newspapers and mannequins, giving off a uniquely Southeast Asian vibe of chaos. Inside, it was super loud the day I went, and you had to shout to be heard. ❣️The only downside for me was that the dishes were a bit too salty and seemed to have a lot of MSG, which made me drink a lot of water, and my mouth felt dry later that night and the next day (I’m not very tolerant of MSG). Overall, it’s a place I’d be interested in going back to, but it’s also fine if I don’t. #dmvfoodexploration #dmvfood #dmvfoodandfun #washingtondc #washingtondcfood #foodielog #hurriancelifestyle #thaicuisine #thaifood
