Former Michelin-Starred Spanish Kaiseki Restaurant

🍽️ The restaurant describes itself on its website as "Spanish Kaiseki cuisine" – a unique fusion of Spanish and Japanese culinary traditions! 🇪🇸🍣✨ It’s a creative and innovative dining experience that brings together the bold flavors of Spain with the delicate artistry of Japanese kaiseki. 🪑 The restaurant’s ambiance and service are both excellent – warm, attentive, and refined. When I visited, it still held a Michelin star ⭐, though it hasn’t been starred in recent years. Still, the quality and creativity remain impressive! 💫 🍰 I last visited to celebrate a birthday 🎂 and enjoyed their 8-course omakase menu, priced at $128 per person. The overall experience was memorable – I loved every single course! 🥰 The meal began with a rich and flavorful mushroom soup – so aromatic and delicious! 🍄 One standout dish featured noodles made with pumpkin juice – uniquely fragrant and beautifully prepared. 🎃🍜 The fish and duck courses were also expertly cooked – tender, flavorful, and beautifully presented. And let’s not forget the cocktails – creative, balanced, and delightful! 🍹 In addition to the omakase, à la carte options are available, making it great for both special occasions and casual visits. I highly recommend giving Cranes a try – I’d definitely revisit when I get the chance! 🙌💖 ———————————————————————— 📍724 9th St NW, Washington, DC 20001 #JHU #DC #DCDining #DMV #DMVFood #MichelinDining #SpanishKaiseki #FusionCuisine #Omakase #FineDining #DCFoodie #FoodReview #BirthdayDining #CocktailLovers #SpanishFood #JapaneseFood #KaisekiExperience #WashingtonDC #DCRestaurants #FoodAdventure
