France | Ultimate Citywalk (Travel Guide)
The last day of our Paris trip We started from the newly restored Notre-Dame de Paris. After checking off a few popular spots, we escaped the crowds to wander around the less busy Île Saint-Louis, went shopping in Le Marais, and spent the final day eating, browsing, and enjoying ourselves!🙂🙂🙂 🔹 Notre-Dame de Paris Hugo praised it as a "symphony in stone." It has witnessed many major events in French history, such as Napoleon’s coronation and the rehabilitation ceremony of Joan of Arc, and gained worldwide fame thanks to Hugo’s novel The Hunchback of Notre-Dame. Though the cathedral suffered a severe fire—with its spire and roof destroyed—and is still under restoration, it remains a top visitor spot. Entry to the church is free; climbing the bell tower costs 10 euros.😂😂😂 🔹 Shakespeare and Company A literary sanctuary on the Left Bank of the Seine, famous for sheltering wandering writers and collecting English books. It’s regarded as one of "the world’s most beautiful bookstores." 🔹 Église Saint-Paul-Saint-Louis This church has a unique Baroque architectural style. Its interior features an impressive dome—one of the earliest and largest in Paris. It also houses Delacroix’s painting Christ in the Garden of Olives. Interestingly, it has a connection to Victor Hugo: in Les Misérables, Cosette and Marius get married here. Hugo’s daughter Léopoldine also wed here in 1843, and Hugo gifted two holy water fonts for the occasion. 🔹 LECLAIREUR SEVIGNE A legendary pioneer of concept stores in Le Marais, Paris. Known for its inconspicuous facade and "bird’s nest" art installation inside, it specializes in cutting-edge designer brands—fashion lovers shouldn’t miss it.🥰🥰🥰 🔹 Merci Another well-known curation store in Le Marais, offering everything from clothing and accessories to stationery and home goods. It’s very popular among locals. Recommended Restaurants 🍝 🔸 Ha Noi 1988 Sao Vang Tucked away in an alley on the relatively quiet Île Saint-Louis, this is an authentic Vietnamese restaurant on the island. It specializes in Hanoi-style pho, and the signature TNT stone pot pho is a must-try—with a rich, flavorful broth and fresh meat, it’s absolutely delicious. 🔸 Noir-Coffee shop With an Instagram-worthy interior, it’s worth stopping by for a drink if you’re passing by while shopping.😉😉😉 🔸 Berthillon Truly the best ice cream in Paris! Two scoops cost just 4 euros—creamy and not at all cloying. The salted caramel flavor is sweet with a hint of salt, plus the aroma of caramel, and the milky taste is rich. #FranceTravel #Paris #TravelGuide #EuropeanTravel #WeekendGetaway #TravelInfluencerSupportProgram
