Fred Jones Jr. Museum of Art in Norman

Norman’s most renowned art museum, the sculpture at its entrance is truly distinctive 😍 . The museum is quite spacious, with four floors in total—and best of all, admission is free! 🆓 Its hours are as follows: closed on Mondays, open for half a day on Sundays, and open from 10 AM to 5 PM on other days. We arrived promptly at 10 AM, and the staff at the front desk were super sweet 🥰. As soon as we walked in, they complimented my outfit, saying it “looks amazing.” There’s something so lovely about this kind of kindness and warmth from someone you’ve never met before ❤️. We had plans for noon, so we left around 12 PM. Even then, we felt like we’d only rushed through a little over half of the museum. It houses artworks of various styles, including precious original pieces by masters like Van Gogh, Degas, Monet, Gauguin, Renoir… and many more 🎨. There’s also an impressive collection of Asian art, but my favorite was the series of artworks by Native American artists 🖼️. My advice: plan your time well!
