French Travel | Marseille Cathedral
This cathedral is already very close to Marseille's seaside. From the steps of the cathedral, you can already look out at Marseille's coastal lighthouse, which is extremely beautiful. On sunny days, the view stretches far and wide, with the lighthouse standing like a silent sentinel against the blue horizon, its white structure gleaming in the sunlight.🤣 Marseille Cathedral is a Byzantine-style church, characterized by its large domes that rise majestically into the sky. But when you walk up to it and take in the facade, what leaves a deep impression is its striped exterior—alternating bands of light and dark stone that create a striking visual rhythm, as if the building itself is humming a quiet architectural melody. 💕 Inside, there are also many interesting design ingenuities. The play of light through the stained-glass windows casts colorful patterns on the marble floors, and the intricate carvings on the columns and walls tell stories of faith and history, each detail inviting you to pause and explore.😂 When I visited, there was a large bear statue at the bottom, which was perfect for taking photos with. It added a touch of whimsy to the otherwise solemn surroundings, making it a popular spot for both tourists and locals to capture memories.😊 Next to the cathedral is the Museum of Mediterranean Culture. Unfortunately, due to a tight schedule, I didn't get to go in and visit. But there are some great restaurants at the foot of the steps, where you can sit and savor delicious local dishes while enjoying the view of the cathedral.😂 A little further on, there are wonderful ports and coastal scenery. Many white people were sunbathing there, soaking up the warm Mediterranean sun, their laughter mingling with the sound of the waves. This will be covered in the next article.😂 #TravelFragments #AroundTheWorld #CulturalAttractionsSharing #Travel #MarseilleFrance #MarseilleFranceTravel #FranceMarseille
