😋 Gained 2 Pounds in Washington DC – A Foodie’s Review!
Here’s my not-so-complete but totally delicious DC food guide: Baan Siam 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 Highly recommended as the top Thai spot in DC on 🍴 Beef Curry / Shrimp Stir-Fry – Both mains come with rice. Authentic and flavorful Thai taste. Too bad they didn’t have Khao Soi that day! 🍰 Mango Sticky Rice / Coconut Milk Snack – I’m obsessed with mango sticky rice – it’s literally the reason I crave Thai food! 🥭🍚 WASAI & Gong Cha 🌟🌟🌟 A Chinatown American-Chinese noodle spot. The fact that I didn’t even take photos says it all 😬 🍴 Chicken Chow Mein / Beef Brisket Noodle – Just okay, but the $13.50 price was decent. Tatte 🌟🌟🌟🌟 A popular US brunch chain with a cozy vibe. 🍴 French Toast with Goat Cheese & Strawberry Jam – Skip if you don’t like gaminess. I enjoyed the combo though! 🍓🧀 🍴 Traditional Shakshuka – Eggs in tomato sauce with toast. My friend preferred the creamier version. Olio e Più 🌟🌟🌟🌟 Italian restaurant near the White House. 🍴 Spaghetti alla Carbonara – Topped with egg yolk, rich and tasty but a bit salty toward the end. Perfect portion. 🍝 🍰 Tiramisu – No words needed – it’s a classic! ☕️✨ Hunan Dynasty 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 Chinese restaurant near Capitol Hill – walls covered with photos of politicians. 🍴 Chongqing Spicy Intestine Pot / Boiled Beef – Authentic Sichuan flavors! Great portion for the price. My friend said it was the best Chinese meal she’s had in the US! 🌶️🔥 Founding Farmers DC 🌟🌟🌟🌟 Very popular American comfort food spot – reserve ahead on weekends! 🍴 Fried Chicken & Waffle – Served with creamy pasta and green beans. The chicken was large but breast-heavy. Waffle was uniquely crispy! 🍗🧇 🍴 Chicken Pot Pie – Creamy salmon soup with bread – incredibly tasty! Top 5 American dishes I’ve ever tried. The broth was rich but not overly salty, and the bread was perfectly crispy. 🥣👌 #100RestaurantsChallenge #FoodieAbroad #DCFoodGuide #WashingtonDC #DCEats #TravelAndEat #BestOfDC
