Georgetown's French Surprise|Brasserie Liberte 🥖🍷
Georgetown is such a lovely place to explore! It’s filled with charming boutiques and familiar brands like COS and Lululemon. When you’re tired from shopping, there are plenty of cozy spots to grab a bite—like Brasserie Liberte, a family-friendly French restaurant with great value! We ordered two appetizers and two entrees for around $100. 🐌 Escargots – A French classic! I love escargots everywhere, and these didn’t disappoint. 🦐 Creamed Spinach & Shrimp Gratin – So rich and creamy you could barely see the shrimp! A bit heavy on its own, but perfect with bread. 🦆 Duck Confit – Crispy skin and tender meat, though the rice underneath was a bit…abstract 😅 🍖 Beef Stew – Not made with beef cheek, so not as melt-in-your-mouth, but the flavor was still satisfying. A small note: It’s a casual family-style spot, so they don’t change plates frequently—just ask if you need fresh cutlery, and they’re happy to help! Great for a relaxed, everyday French meal in the heart of Georgetown! Have you been here? What’s your favorite French bistro in the DMV?
