Georgetown’s Surprising French Cuisine

Georgetown is really great for shopping! There are so many exquisite shops and common brands like COS, Lululemon, and when you’re tired of shopping, there are also many sophisticated little places to eat. Brasserie Liberte is a highly cost-effective family-style French restaurant. We ordered two appetizers and two entrees for just around a hundred bucks. Baked snails are a staple of French cuisine, and I equally like the baked snails at every place! The creamed spinach baked shrimp is all about not seeing the shrimp; it would be cloying to eat on its own, but it’s perfect with bread 🍤🥛 The confit duck leg and braised beef are also very traditional French dishes. The skin of the duck leg is very crispy, but the rice it’s served with is quite abstract. The braised beef isn’t made with beef cheek, so it’s not as tender, but the flavor is still good. Worth mentioning is that this place might be more family-style, so the replacement of cutlery isn’t very frequent; you need to ask for it yourself, but once you do, they replace it pretty quickly 😋🥢 It’s really nice for everyday dining! #DMVFood #WhatToEatInDMVArea #WashingtonDCFood #FrenchCuisine #TreasureRestaurantShare #Georgetown #GeorgetownFood #DCFoodExploration #DCFood #WashingtonFood #Food
