🍻 German Food in Greenville

Hans & Franz Biergarten We took a casual Saturday stroll downtown and ended up craving something hearty—so why not German sausages? 😄 Sure enough, this place hit the spot! We didn’t have a reservation and arrived around 4:30 PM. The outdoor area was fully booked, and indoors was almost full too—luckily we snagged the last corner table! 🍀 Definitely recommend booking ahead, especially during peak hours. We started with the classic Pretzel—freshly baked, soft inside, chewy all over, with that perfect hint of salt on the crust. It came with a slightly spicy mustard, but honestly? It’s delicious enough on its own 🥨✨. Then we got the Hans & Franz Wurst Teller—a sampler with smoked sausage (Bockwurst), Bavarian white sausage (Weißwurst), and pan-fried sausage (Bratwurst), served with ketchup and mustard. As sides, we picked fries and sauerkraut (highly recommend!). The sausages were juicy and well-seasoned 👌, and the sauerkraut was stir-fried with pork belly—rich, tangy, and so flavorful! The fries were crispy and golden, just right. I’m not a beer drinker, but my partner ordered the Weihenstephan Dark 🍺. His review: “Aromatic, smooth, with fine foam—no bitterness, not too strong, and a slightly sweet aftertaste.” We’d already had bubble tea before coming, so we didn’t have room for more… but next time, we’re trying the braised pork knuckle (was it on the menu? Maybe we missed it?? 🤔) and definitely getting more pretzels and sauerkraut! Heads-up ⚠️: A lot of reviews complain about the service. Even with few guests, the staff seemed stretched thin—it took a while to order. Parking is limited—they recommend carpooling! Can’t wait to explore more restaurants in Greenville 🥸📍 Address: 3124 South Highway 14, Greenville, SC 29615 #GreenvilleSC #GermanFood #BeerGarden #SausageLover #FoodReview #SouthCarolinaEats #HiddenGems
