Gothenburg Solo Trip
A place you fall in love with on your first visit and never stop missing. Summer here is cool, uncrowded, and full of beautiful scenery—both natural and cultural. ⛵ Gothenburg Opera House Set on the harbour, surrounded by moored sailboats ⛵. The building itself looks like a pirate ship at rest, its main structure a dark red—quirky and striking. ⛵ Gothenburg Cathedral We drove up the hill to see the red-brick church; it was already closed. From the summit you can overlook all of Gothenburg. The nearby residential area is quiet and peaceful. 📸 ⛵ Gustaf Adolfs Torg (City Hall Square) In the centre stands the statue of King Gustavus Adolphus, founder of Gothenburg. Behind it, the white City Hall is flanked by the Royal Swedish Opera, the State House, and the Palace of the Hereditary Prince—elegant architecture whichever way you look. Seagulls lounge here so lazily they barely move as you walk past. 💙 A spontaneous gathering of Palestinians filled the square—men, women, and children waving flags, singing, dancing, and taking photos 📸… 💙 After winding our way out of the centre we stopped for a delicious lunch, then drove on into a breathtaking sunset. #Gothenburg #Sweden #GothenburgCathedral
