Great Day Trip from Madison: Milwaukee City Walk ποΈπΆπ
Just over an hourβs drive from Madison, Milwaukee makes for a perfect day of exploration and good food! πΆοΈ Lunch: We started at Sze Chuan Restaurant β though not 100% authentic Sichuan, the flavors were fantastic and definitely worth the try! π¦ Afternoon: Headed to the Milwaukee County Zoo. Plenty of parking π ΏοΈ, manageable size, and great for families π¨βπ©βπ§βπ¦. Saw everything from big cats to free-roaming peacocks π¦! Perfect for photos β we got so carried away we didnβt leave until after 5 PM (even though it closes at 4:30 π ). πΈ Late Afternoon: Made a quick stop downtown β Milwaukee offers awesome photo spots, from industrial steel structures to retro urban vibes. Grab your camera and capture the mix of gritty and grand! π₯’ Dinner: Wrapped up the day at Fusion Cafe β highly authentic Northeastern Chinese food! Their Guo Bao Rou (sweet and sour pork) and Colorful Liangpi (a chilled noodle dish β order in advance!) were spot-on ππ².
