What a great deal! ๐Ÿ”ฅ ๐Ÿ“ Location: Great Falls (Maryland side) ๐Ÿ“ Parking address: 10790 MacArthur Blvd, Potomac, MD 20854 ๐Ÿ…ฟ Parking fee: Free! ๐ŸŽŸ Admission: Free! ๐Ÿš— Parking Tips Although parking is free, spots are super limited โš  I arrived at 1:30 PM and could barely find a spot โ€“ even at 5 PM it was still full ๐Ÿ˜… ๐Ÿ‘‰ Recommendation: Go early! Arrive before 9 AM for easier parking and better views. ๐Ÿฅพ Recommended Route ๐Ÿšถโ™€ Billy Goat Trail Section A The entrance is up ahead โ€“ itโ€™s the most popular and challenging part of the trail. The path is steep and rocky, requiring some hands-and-feet climbing. โš  Not recommended for kids under 10 โ€“ itโ€™s quite demanding! ๐ŸŒฟ Want something easier? Try the Olmsted Island Overlook. Itโ€™s a flat wooden boardwalk with gorgeous views of waterfalls and rapids โ€“ super photogenic! ๐Ÿ“ธ ๐Ÿ’ก Useful Tips โ€ข Bring enough water and snacks โ€“ no stores along the trail โ€ข Wear anti-slip shoes! Rocks can be slippery โ€ข Fall foliage is especially beautiful ๐Ÿ ๐Ÿ’ฌ Final Thoughts ๐Ÿ“ Great Falls (Maryland side) ๐Ÿš— Free parking + free attraction + amazing views = a perfect day trip!
