Greece's Shipwreck Bay in Zakynthos

πŸ’™ A Day Trip to Zakynthos Island: I found a local guide on Xiaohongshu and signed up for a group tour with 8 people at 100 euros per person. The main itinerary included visiting Shipwreck Bay, the Blue Caves, and overlooking Shipwreck Bay from the mountain, as well as the option to see sea turtles (which we chose not to do), and we also stopped at two beaches for swimming. The specific activities are attached in the last two pages and may be subject to change; you can consult a Chinese assistant for details. πŸ’™ On the Day of the Tour: The guide will drive to each hotel to pick you up. Our group was full of Chinese people, and everyone was very friendly. The local Greek guide played Jay Chou's songs throughout the journey, creating an excellent atmosphere. On the way to Shipwreck Bay, the captain played music from Blackpink, and upon seeing Shipwreck Bay, the song "Every Time I See You" immediately came to mind (the captain knew just what to play). It was so exciting that it brought everyone on the boat back to the year of the "Song-Song" couple. πŸ’™ A Few Tips: Be sure to bring a large towel. The waves at sea can be very large, and seawater will constantly splash on your face and body. Your hair will become tangled due to the salt in the water. If possible, wear beach socks when swimming. They can sometimes be purchased on the shore. Without them, the stones in the sea can be very painful on your feet. πŸ“ Blue Caves & Shipwreck Bay : These two must-see spots on Zakynthos Island are very close to each other. Generally, the guide will take you to Shipwreck Bay first, then to the Blue Caves, and finally swimming. It is no longer allowed to go ashore at Shipwreck Bay, but you can take photos from the boat. I won't describe it in detail; just see the photosβ€”it's breathtakingly beautiful. πŸ“ Overlooking Shipwreck Bay : If you want to take a panoramic photo overlooking Shipwreck Bay from above, you need to go to the top of the mountain. There are two viewing points. One is the first one on the right after the parking lot with many people lining up to climb the stairs. Many people say not to go to this one and instead visit the second viewing point on the right after 6 pm because staff guard it and don't allow entry before 6 pm, possibly due to safety concerns. Although it's not very dangerous, be sure to pay attention to safety and don't lean against the edge of the cliff at the viewing point. πŸ“ Two Swimming Spots : The water is very, very clear. Apart from the stones being uncomfortable underfoot, there are basically no downsides. Enjoy! πŸ“· About Photography: In addition to taking photos with each other, the guide also occasionally shows off his photography skills. He also brought a drone and took videos for the tourists in the group, which was fantastic. πŸ’™ At the End of the Trip: The guide took us to the convenience store his family owns. Since the day before was the guide's birthday, his wife shared birthday cake and souvenir sea turtle trinkets with us. In short, it was very heartwarming and highly recommended! Wishing everyone a wonderful travel experience. #Travel #Greece #Zakynthos #GreekTravel #ZakynthosGuide #ShipwreckBay #ZakynthosIsland
