Greenville, SC ➡️ Fred W. Symmes Chapel

In the nearly three months I’ve been in the US, Greenville has easily become my favorite small town—its charm hits you in all the little, warm moments 🥰 Think about it: tree-lined streets strung with twinkling lights at night, turning the town into a cozy, magical spot after dark ✨; parks bursting with blooming flowers, where you might spot a girl curled up on the lawn with a book, totally lost in her story 📖; neighbors having fun outside—an uncle tossing a (sandbag) with a laugh, and a group of kids zipping by on their skateboards, yelling and giggling as they go 🛹. Every corner feels like a snapshot of happy, unhurried life. But the highlight? Waking up early to drive from Greenville to Fred W. Symmes Chapel. We got there around 6 AM, just in time to catch the blue hour—that soft, dreamy blue glow before sunrise, painting the city skyline in the distance with a calm, quiet light. Then, we waited as the sun slowly peeked over the horizon, its golden rays spilling behind the chapel’s cross—warm, bright, and absolutely breathtaking 🌅. Even though it was chilly, wrapping up in a thick down jacket 🧥 made it easy to soak in the view: rolling mountains in the distance, completely covered in lush greenery, stretching as far as the eye could see. That drive from Greenville to the chapel wasn’t just a trip—it was a chance to hold onto two of my favorite things: the small-town warmth of Greenville, and the awe-inspiring beauty of Symmes Chapel at dawn. It’s a memory I’ll keep coming back to. #GreenvilleSC #FredWSymmesChapel #BlueHourMagic #SunriseAtTheChapel #SmallTownLove #USRoadTrip
