Greenville | No Wonder It’s a 5.0-Star Restaurant on Yelp—Oyster Parad

I finally got to check out Jones Oyster, the spot near my boyfriend’s office that I’ve been wanting to try for ages! Right after 5 PM, my boyfriend came straight from work, and the restaurant was already almost full. We snagged the last two seats by the window—otherwise, we would’ve had to wait outside. This unassuming little spot is a total gem: fresh ingredients and incredible flavors, 10/10 recommend! The restaurant specializes in all kinds of seafood—oysters, fish, shrimp, crab, lobster… you name it. Unfortunately, we missed happy hour, so we had to get oysters at full price. We ordered a dozen Chef's Choice oysters and half a dozen NOLA Grilled oysters to try.P.S. Happy hour is Tuesday–Friday, 2–4 PM, when oysters are just $1.50 each—don’t miss it next time! ▫️ Chef's Choice Oysters | $34/dozen ⭐⭐⭐⭐½ The price is reasonable, and the oyster varieties depend on daily availability (single oysters usually cost $3–$4 each). All three types we got this time were from Virginia, but each had a distinct taste. When they were served, the server suggested we start with the sweeter ones—and they were spot-on! Every oyster was fresh, no fishy aftertaste, and plump too. I was more than satisfied to find oysters of this quality in Greenville. ▫️ NOLA Grilled Oysters | $18/half-dozen ⭐⭐⭐⭐ I’m not usually a fan of cooked oysters, but these were worth trying! They’re smothered in garlic butter, and pairing them with bread makes it even more delicious. The oysters were grilled perfectly—still juicy, not overcooked at all. ▫️ Fish Dip Sample ⭐⭐⭐⭐ The server brought this complimentary sample when we sat down, and it’s one of their signature appetizers. Chili and onion add so much depth to the dip, though it’s a bit on the salty side. My boyfriend loved it—he even wanted to order a full portion after tasting it! Main Dishes ▫️ Crab Fried Rice | $22 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I’m not a big fan of fried rice, but I couldn’t stop taking bites of this! It’s packed with big, real crab meat, and diced green and red chilies take it to the next level. The flavor was a total surprise—this is definitely a dish I’ll order again and again on future visits. ▫️ Connecticut Lobster Roll | $28 ⭐⭐⭐⭐½ They have two types of lobster rolls: Maine-style (tossed in mayo, served cold) and Connecticut-style (drenched in melted butter, which lets you taste the lobster’s natural flavor). This was a good lobster roll, though not as mind-blowing as the crab fried rice. 📍 Jones Oyster Co.💰 Average per person: $60+Note: They don’t take reservations—only walk-ins. Expect a 30-minute wait during peak meal times. #Greenville #GreenvilleEats #Oysters #SeafoodRestaurant #RestaurantRecommendation #FoodDiary #FoodReview #FoodExploration #100RestaurantChallenge
