Heading North 📍 Sudbury & North Bay

Heading North 📍 Sudbury & North Bay Long Weekend Itinerary – Day 2 ☀️ Early in the morning, we went to Dynamic Earth to see the Big Nickel 🪙. Parking was free (the barrier arm was up), and taking photos cost nothing—we could just snap some shots and leave right away! They have a museum there, but we weren’t interested (and it charges admission 💰), so we didn’t go in. We just wandered around the gift shop for a bit and then left 😉. Then we drove to North Bay 🚗. Along the way, we passed several Indigenous-owned gas stations ⛽️ and chose the one closest to North Bay. It turned out we’d entered an Indigenous neighborhood, where we saw a third type of stop sign language besides "stop" and "arrêt" 🅿️—it was quite unique! In North Bay, we checked out Nipissing University 🎓. Behind the school, there’s a trail called Nipissing Lookout. It’s pretty easy to climb, and once we got to the pavilion at the top, the breeze made it super comfortable 😌. After checking into our hotel, we strolled along the lakeside and came across a food truck 🍔. A long line of elderly folks was waiting for poutine! We tried their pogo, and it was really delicious—better than the Korean-style hot dog sticks. Definitely worth a try 👍. By the way, Sudbury has a lot of South Asians, but there seem to be fewer here; this small town is very predominantly white 👨👩👧👦. #TorontoDayTrips#CanadianLife#TorontoLife#LongWeekend#CanadianLongWeekend
