Gordon Ramsay Hell’s Kitchen - Washington DC Wharf I’m a country bumpkin who’s never had Beef Wellington before This time, I went to Hell’s Kitchen in Washington for the Wellington and the variety show experience 🌟 Overall Experience 9/10 The first floor is a lounge where you can rest on the sofas if you arrive early The waiter will take you to the second floor and give a detailed introduction to the restaurant’s concept They’ll go through the entire menu in detail The service is very humanized The small talk can be a bit awkward for introverts 🌟 Food Taste 8.5/10 🫓 Scallop 😃 Personally, I find it more delicious than the overpriced and strangely seasoned ones in New York The taste is rich But still, only three pieces 🦞 Lobster Risotto 🥰 It’s to my liking (some might not love it) The lobster is poached to perfection with a rich buttery aroma The rice has a porridge-like texture with a hint of lemon acidity 🥩 Beef Wellington 🤩 Absolutely no disappointment Finally had beef that doesn’t taste too beefy (I usually don’t like beef) Exceptionally juicy and tender Dipped in potato puree to balance the saltiness The pastry isn’t very crispy but just to my liking 🍖 Braised Short Rib 🥳 I saw many people ordering this The portion is astonishing The bottom layer of potato cake is unexpectedly delicious The middle layer of spinach and the top layer of onion cut through the richness But the short rib is a bit tough 🌽 Elotes 😋 Incredibly delicious Mexican snack side Perfect with cocktails, couldn’t stop eating them 🍮 Sticky Toffee Pudding 🥲 This is overly sweet Even with my high sugar tolerance, it was too much It would be perfect without the toffee sauce 🍸 Notes from Gordon 🔥 This cocktail had a flavor I’ve never tasted before I even looked at the menu again to try and replicate it 🍹 Meet your maker Super sweet and strong little liqueur 🌟 Value for Money 7/10 Knowing that they’ve increased their prices a lot might make you feel it’s expensive But overall, the food and experience are worth it It’s one of the more classic and delicious Western meals I’ve had Watching the chefs work hard and sweat makes it more enjoyable (a bit of a twisted pleasure) #FoodExploration #dmvFood #HellsKitchen #RestaurantRecommendation #DMV #BeefWellington #WashingtonDC #WashingtonDCFood
