🍷 Idle Hour Wine Bar Built right over the lake — the views are absolutely unbeatable! 😍 Great vibe indoors too. Outdoor seating has fireplaces and blankets, so it’s cozy even when it’s chilly. You can order wine by the glass or try flights — $25 for 4 glasses! Choose from white, red, or sparkling, Old World or New World. Lots of options! We had such a good time sipping here. The food is more like small plates than full meals, but it’s still plenty to fill you up. The real star is the view though — we arrived while it was still light and slowly watched the sunset 🌅. Everyone agreed: we’re definitely coming back here next time we’re in Tahoe! 🏨 Where We Stayed: Marriott The location is perfect — right at the base of Heavenly ⛷️, surrounded by restaurants. There’s a Chinese spot across the street with decent shengjianbao, beef rolls, and noodles. The hotel itself is pretty basic, but rooms come with a fridge, microwave, utensils, and even dish soap — pretty handy! You can use the large grills downstairs for BBQ. The pool is a good size, and there’s a ping pong table 🏓. Indoors, there’s a club room with two classic arcade games. Totally worth it for the location — just don’t expect luxury. 🚧 The HK restaurant inside the hotel across the street is under renovation, so we didn’t get to try it this time. 🏞️ Edgewood Tahoe This place is super famous I didn’t want to splurge on a stay, but lunch was a nice alternative. Valet parking only. Lunch is served at the Bistro. The setting is gorgeous — right by the lake with outdoor fireplaces everywhere. Just watch out for goose poop on the beach 🦢💩… aside from that, it’s very relaxing. Food was just okay — go for the ambiance! #LakeTahoe #TahoeWithKids #TahoeDining #TahoeTravel #TahoeHotels #TahoeFood
