Hey! Auckland! 🇳🇿🤩 (Super Honest Version)
I landed in Auckland in the evening, and by the time I got to the hotel, it was around 8 PM — most restaurants were already closed 😮💨. I grabbed a quick bite at a fast-food joint downstairs, and surprisingly, the pancake I randomly ordered was so delicious! The burger was tasty too (I took a quick pic, but it doesn’t look great 😅). Suddenly, I realized this spot is *so* photogenic at night! If you’re at Denny’s, sit by the window, face diagonally across the street, and TURN ON YOUR FLASHLIGHT ! ✨ Make sure to include the photos on the ceiling in your shot — it adds such a fun pop of color to the picture •̀.̫•́✧ The next day, I passed by a bakery and tried their salted caramel cinnamon roll — it was amazing! 🥐 But fair warning: if you don’t like super sweet stuff, it might be a bit too much. Then I took the little ferry to Devonport and hiked up Mount Victoria … Oops, I didn’t do my homework — I had no idea we’d be hiking, so both of us wore big boots! 🥾 Total mistake — everyone, please wear comfy shoes for outings! To be honest, Mount Victoria felt pretty ordinary. I’d definitely recommend Mount Eden more — the views and visibility there are way broader. I didn’t take pics of the scenery though, since my phone was out of storage (but here’s a pretty pic for you — ! 😊). After hiking down, we sat by the road and had coffee — heads up, most cafes close around PM, so don’t miss the time! ☕ Also, try to avoid cafes where the staff have Asian faces (mostly Korean-owned ones) — we got some really obvious rude treatment… I don’t get why that happened… (Of course, this might just be our experience, so I’m not generalizing! 🤍) For dinner, we tried Depot, which was recommended on . The cod burger was *definitely delicious, but the other dishes felt just so-so to me! 🐟 I attached the menu for reference~ There’s an outdoor spot that juts out along the wall — the lighting there is perfect for photos, so give it a try! ⚠️ BIG WARNING: Alma. Maybe I just ordered the wrong things, but the beef tongue (which was hyped on ) was *terrible*… It had a weird, strong beefy odor 🤢. (The Tuna Crudo was pretty good though, to be fair! 🐟) The temperature in Auckland these two days has been so nice — perfect for a city walk! 🚶♀️ The whole city moves at a slow, chill pace. Sitting with friends, sipping coffee, and chatting… it’s just so cozy and relaxing~ ☕️ #NewZealand #Auckland #Travel #NewZealandTravel #TravelGuide #Photography
