No.1 Pancake Albany — Restaurant in Upper Harbour

I always walked past No.1 Pancake witnessing the long queue along the pavement which discouraged me from buying/ trying, when they were still operating in CBD. Was stoked to stumble across them now reopened in Albany, when I was searching for my appointment venue on google map. They were literally just 2 minutes away from where my appointment was. Online order was made with pickup slot available in 10-15 minutes. Walked in to pick up and my order was all ready waiting for me. The owner/ operator was awesome and thoughtful, letting me know that I could help myself to the sauces in lil takeaway containers 😍. Had it not been raining heavily I would have chosen to sit outside and dug into the hot pancakes then and there to admire the charming shop decor. Alas I had to bring them home after 45 minutes drive and the cakes were barely warm. Nevertheless the pancakes were still to die for! I ordered one savoury (beef cheese) and one sweet (red bean). Generous fillings and not oily! Taste-wise : full of flavour yet not overpowering. Everything was well balanced and done to perfection! Now I finally know why people were willing to stand in the line for their pancakes! I will definitely come back for more when opportunity arise and try some...

First time ordering from the beautiful gem of an established business. The N.o.1 Pancake place has a history of 2 wonderful Korean seniors with their son. Going in the shop not only is it clean, but so inviting that size is not the case of the shop but the sheer kindness and smiles of the husband and wife team that make this Korean Pancake shop the best my husband and I have ever experienced. Ordered Ham Cheese and Pineapple pancake. Also for sweet.. Cinnamon pancake and of course the Chocolate pancake with ice cream. Trust me these pancakes are not your normal European pancake you would think of BUT Korean made pancakes that are out of this world.. Believe me you all should buy and try this wonderful Pancake... 너무 너무 너무 너무 너무 너무 좋아해요! This place is my favourite for a delicious snack. The staff are very lovely, and even though sometimes when it is very busy the wait time can be 15-20 minutes, the pancakes are always top quality and consistently yummy! The shop is tiny, and there are no proper seats, but there is a designated wait area with little benches to lean against if you are tired. You can also watch them make and cook the pancakes through the glass by the stove top. They are in a very handy location, next to Gong Cha, Gloria Jeans, Don Don sushi bar and other great shops like Miniso you can browse while you wait. Highly recommend...
