Hida Folk Village is NOT a Substitute for Shirakawa-go!!! ππΈ
Since I only stayed in Takayama for two days, I planned a trip to Hirayu and Shin-Hotaka on the second day, so I didn't choose to go to Shirakawa-go. πΏ Instead, I took a bus to Hida Folk Village, which is just a 10-minute ride from JR Takayama, to experience the charm of the Gassho-style houses. πΊ ππΊLittle did I know!!! π Takayama has been hit by heavy snow these past few days, and Hida Folk Village was so beautiful it made my eyes pop! πΈ The moment I entered the village, I was bursting with all kinds of words that would get bleeped out. Seriously, you have to see it to believe it! π Shirakawa-go has also been experiencing heavy snow these days, ππ’but the visibility is quite low up in the mountains of Takayama. π¨οΈ #Japan #HidaFolkVillage #Takayama #HirayuAndShinHotaka πΏπ
