I went in skeptical — could a steakhouse in Madison really justify prices rivaling Chicago’s? But after dining there, I can confirm: every dollar is worth it. 🕯️💫 The restaurant intentionally uses no electric lighting — only candlelight — creating an intimate, elegant, and deeply romantic setting. Perfect for dates or special occasions 💖. Must-Try Dishes: 1️⃣ Beef Tartare 🇺🇸🐂 Made with American Wagyu, this dish had my boyfriend and I exclaiming in unison after the first bite. The meat was incredibly fresh and needed almost no seasoning — just a rich egg yolk, a sprinkle of sea salt, and chives. It melted on the tongue with buttery smoothness. An absolute must-order! 2️⃣ Foie Gras 🦢🍫 Priced at $31, it’s not cheap — but so delicious we almost ordered another serving. The foie gras was velvety and rich, like a creamy mousse or a truffle chocolate without bitterness. It was served with an apricot sauce (we initially thought it was fermented tofu!) that complemented it perfectly. We even used the leftover sauce on our steak — that good!
