Hidden Gem Dessert Shop in LA's Arts District 🧁✨
Every time I pass the red-brick walls of the Arts District, I can’t resist stopping by the display window of Bag of Cakes! The space blends Japanese minimalist wood style with a touch of American retro charm 🪵🍂 The glass cases are packed with fluffy strawberry chiffon cakes and matcha mille crepes, while the air is filled with the caramel aroma of freshly baked scones ~ 🧈🍓 My personal favorite is the Earl Grey Mille Crêpe! 🍰 Twenty paper-thin layers with tea-infused cream that melts like a sip of morning mist ☁️ Paired with an iced latte, it’s pure bliss 🌿 My friend’s melon cream cup had crispy boba at the bottom — the fruit was so fresh, it tasted like summer in every bite 🍈 Sitting by the floor-to-ceiling window, watching light and shadow dance on the cakes 💫 Green vines hang from the ceiling all the way down next to the crème brûlée — even the takeaway boxes are printed with cute hand-drawn doodles 🎨 Before leaving, I packed lemon madeleines for breakfast the next day — still soft and moist with milk, as if just baked! 🥛🍋 📍 Bag of Cakes (located in the red building at the corner of the main street in Arts District) #LosAngeles #LARestaurantReview #LosAngeles #LALife #NorthAmerica #HiddenGemDessertShop #DessertLover #WeekendInLA #DessertDiaries
