Hidden Gem Japanese Restaurant in Costa Mesa š£āØ
Went shopping at South Coast Plaza today and couldnāt decide on lunchāthen remembered this long-bookmarked Japanese spot nearby! It definitely did not disappointāactually, it blew me away! What we ordered: š£ Salmon Blue Crab Roll ā Absolutely stunning! Thick, fresh salmon on the outside, packed with sweet crab meat inside. The combination of rich salmon and sweet crab is explosiveāhighly recommend! š£ Assorted Sushi ā We tried Bluefin Tuna, Salmon, Yellowtail, Madai (Japanese Snapper), and Freshwater Eel. Every piece was incredibly fresh. The Bluefin Tuna was firm and melted in your mouthāyou could taste the quality! The Freshwater Eel was perfectly grilled with a special sauceāso delicious! š Chicken Karaage ā Classic Japanese fried chickenāsuper crispy outside, juicy and tender inside. Dipped in sauce, it was so addictive even the kids kept asking for more. š” Takoyaki ā Authentic and well-made! Golden crispy outside, soft and chewy inside with generous octopus chunks. Topped with takoyaki sauce, mayo, and dancing bonito flakesājust the right familiar flavor. š Baked Green Mussel ā A unique dish! Green mussels topped with a thick special sauce and baked until fragrant. The mussels were fresh, and the creamy sauce made it a tasty try for adventurous eaters. š„¬ Seaweed Salad ā Refreshing after all the fried food and sushi. Crispy seaweed with a light sesame-vinegar dressingāvery appetizing. š Tonkotsu Ramen ā The broth was rich and deep, clearly slow-cooked. Warm and comforting. Noodles had perfect texture, and the chashu portion was generousāso satisfying! š„ Overall, ingredients are super fresh, flavors are authentic. We went right at 11:30 AM opening, and it was packed within 10 minutesāalready a line! Highly recommended! š Eat's Sushi š 1175 Baker St E25, Costa Mesa, CA 92626 #LAEats #IrvineFood #OrangeCountyEats #JapaneseFood #Sushi #FoodReview #FoodExploration
