Hidden Gems Travel Guide|Oklahoma (Part 2) 🍽️🌮
Following Part 1, here’s the highlight reel of OKC’s must-try food spots! 🍳 Food Recommendations Cafe Kacao ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ A popular Latin American breakfast spot! On weekends, the waitlist can be 2+ hours by 9 AM 😱. I finally made it on a Monday morning. 🌯 Must-try: Huevos Rancheros (with black beans & corn tortillas) 🥞 Also famous: Their giant pancakes—just one piece is super filling! ☕ Wide variety of coffee options too. Ma Der Lao Kitchen ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ A buzzing Lao restaurant—even at 5:30 PM, there’s a wait! 🥗 As a Southeast Asian food lover, I’d never tried Lao cuisine before. Their meat dishes are meant for sharing (order multiple if you’re with friends!). 🌶️ Similar to Thai flavors: sour, spicy, and eaten with sticky rice and lettuce—use your hands! Pho Lien Hoa ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ This Vietnamese pho spot is so successful, it opened a branch in Edmond! 🍜 Huge portions—I ordered the Bun Bo Hue (spicy!), but their classic pho broth is also rich and delicious. Cafe Antigua Said to be a sister restaurant to Cafe Kacao. I tried it after failing to get into Kacao on a weekend… but Kacao wins for ambiance and food quality! Goro Ramen Tried a dry curry ramen—decent, but not amazing. 🌃 Go at night to enjoy the vibe of the Paseo Arts District! Swadley’s Bar-B-Q A local Oklahoma BBQ chain. The portions are HUGE—great for meat lovers, but a bit much for light eaters. Worth trying for authentic Midwest BBQ! 🗻 Additional Attractions (Not in Part 1) Wichita Mountain Wildlife Refuge 🦬🏞️ About 1.5 hours from OKC—perfect for a day trip! ✅ Hike + see American bison up close ✅ Try a bison burger at nearby restaurants! Honey Lee Ranch 🐎 Experience real cowboy life with a horseback riding adventure! #Oklahoma #OKCFood #HiddenGems #USATravel #StudyInUSA #OffTheBeatenPath #FoodieGuide #TravelOKC #HorsebackRiding #LaoFood #LatinBreakfast
