Hostel Recommendation | Washington DC đď¸
đ¨ Generator Washington DC Address: 1900 Connecticut Avenue NW, Washington, DC 20009 â Generator seems to be a chain brandâIâve seen it in many cities. The DC location isnât right in the tourist zone, but the area is safe and not too quiet. Itâs a walk from the metro station, slightly uphill, so I wouldnât recommend it if youâre carrying large luggage. đ´ No cooking allowedâkitchen access is not available. â The hostel conditions are great! Thereâs a spacious common area on the first floorâperfect for working or socializingâand semi-private spaces ideal for introverts who need quiet. â Rooms are converted from hotel layouts. The en-suite bathroom is a bit small, but the room itself is bright, clean, and well-lit. Itâs one of the better hostel rooms Iâve stayed in. I booked a 4-bed female dorm. đ° Price in March last year: $137 for two nights. âď¸ Facilities include a laundry room, gym, a restaurant, and a cafĂŠ downstairs. The coffee is quite goodâhighly recommended! Overall, this is a hotel converted into a hostel, so it feels like sharing a nice hotel room with strangers. My room wasnât fullâonly two of usâso the experience was comfortable. I didnât take great photos, but itâs better in person! Very safe, well-managed, and good conditionsâthough it lacks that classic youth-hostel vibe of mingling and meeting people. Rating: âď¸âď¸âď¸âď¸ Have you stayed at Generator or other hostels in DC?
