Houston, Texas Food Guide

Houston Western Restaurant Food Special: A Review of Four Spots from My Restaurant Week Exploration! You Should Definitely Check Them Out When You Get the Chance! During Houston Restaurant Weeks, lunch is priced at $25, and dinner at either $39 or $55, allowing you to enjoy 2 to 4 dishes.💕💕 1. 🇫🇷 Brasserie du Parc A French restaurant located near Discovery Green Park, close to downtown Houston. It serves a variety of classic French dishes, offering authentic flavors and a great ambiance—perfect for dates. 🎉🎉 However, the wait time for food is extremely long (it took about 2 hours), which is something to note. Rating: 4/5 Stars👉👈 - Escargot (French Snails): Average, nothing special. - Tuna Tartare: Highly recommended! It comes with a large portion of fresh raw tuna, paired with avocado and seaweed.🍐🎼 - Crab Cakes: Packed with crab meat—excellent. - Duck Confit (French Braised Duck Leg): Good, though the meat is slightly tough; the skin is crispy.🍵 - Sole Meunière: Dover sole with a strong buttery flavor.🍟 - Salmon: Pan-seared salmon with tomato sauce, tender and delicious.🍡🍡 - Desserts (Crème Brûlée, Apple Tart, Chocolate Mousse, Strawberry Melba): All are similar in taste. 2. 🇺🇸🦞🥩 McCormick & Schmick's A reliable spot for steak and seafood. Rating: 3.5/5 Stars✨✨ - Sweet Corn and Crab Bisque: Exceptional—highly praised.🌵🌵 - Ahi Tuna Crudo: Fresh raw ahi tuna. - Grilled Salmon: Not as good as the one at Brasserie du Parc.💞 - Cauliflower Steak: Despite not being actual steak, it tastes great.🎃🎃 - Wagyu Top Sirloin: Grilled wagyu top sirloin, delicious.🛶 - Oysters (Rockefeller and Grilled): Decent, but Texas oysters are small in size. - Fried Shrimp: Small portion but tasty.🎉 3. 🇺🇸🦞🥩 The Palm This downtown Western restaurant is a favorite of mine. Portions are relatively larger while still being exquisite. Rating: 4.5/5 Stars✨✨ - Lobster Bisque: Rich and creamy—delicious. - New York Strip Steak: Never a letdown, with high-quality, tender meat.🥩 - Pan-Seared Salmon: Excellent! Tender and flavorful, with a generous 8oz portion. - Desserts:🌸 - Palm Zeppoles: Italian-style donuts, and the dipping sauces are a bit too sweet. - Cheesecake: Also on the sweeter side.🌻 4. BB's Tex-Orleans🍉🍉 Famous for its fusion of Texas and New Orleans flavors, this is an authentic Southern American restaurant—ideal for bringing friends to try local specialties. Rating: 4/5 Stars👀 - Chicken Andouille Gumbo: A classic Southern American soup served with rice as an appetizer, rich and flavorful.❣️❣️ - Fish Ceviche (Appetizer): Salad served on a corn tortilla. - Cajun Empanadas (Appetizer): Highly recommended! Creamy, like large fried dumplings—a must-try.🦋🦋 - Shrimp Po' Boy: A typical Southern American dish with crispy fried shrimp.🌳 - South American-Style Pan-Seared Sea Bass: Tender and delicious. #USTravelGuide#WesternCuisine#HoustonFood #HoustonRestaurantHunt
