Houston|Ice Sculpture Wonderland
Thanksgiving was so much fun that I’m just now catching up on sharing this winter highlight! This year, Moody Gardens invited 30 master ice sculptors from Harbin, China 🇨🇳 to create a breathtaking indoor ice exhibition kept at a chilly 9°F (-12°C). The entire experience was magical — and yes, they provide parkas to keep you (somewhat) warm! 🏮 Chinese-themed sculptures included a majestic archway, stone lions, and adorable giant pandas 🐼 — all carved with incredible detail. The talent on display is truly mind-blowing! 🎟️ Ticket Tip: I used the official Instagram story discount code HOWHOU25 for the after-4 PM multi-attraction pass: ❌ Original price: $60 ✅ Discounted: $51 ✅ ⏳ Recommended Timeline: 1️⃣ 4:00–4:30 PM — Aquarium Pyramid 🐠 2️⃣ 4:30–5:00 PM — 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea 4D (you will get sprayed! 💦) 3️⃣ 5:00–5:20 PM — Discovery Museum (currently featuring music & film exhibits) 4️⃣ 5:30 PM — Light Before Christmas (3D stop-motion film) 5️⃣ 6:20 PM — Scrooge 4D: A Christmas Carol (it snows inside! ❄️) 6️⃣ 6:40 PM — Arctic Slide (outdoor ice slide — includes 3 rides… though I only did one after bruising my tailbone 😅) 7️⃣ 7:00 PM — Ice Land ❄️🎪 8️⃣ 7:40 PM — Holiday Lights 🌟📸 (perfect for photos!) 🎖️ My Personal Ranking: 1️⃣ Ice Land — absolutely stunning 2️⃣ Holiday Lights — festive and photogenic 3️⃣ 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea 4D — fun and interactive! Overall, I was really impressed — even better than the ice museum I visited in Alaska! 🧊❄️ You can even enjoy a drink at the ice bar (not sure if the cups are ice too… but that would be cool 😂). If you're in Houston this season, don’t miss this frozen fantasy world — perfect for families, couples, or friends looking for some winter magic! 🧤 Pro tip: Wear warm socks and gloves — it’s cold in there! Have a frosty-fun time! ⛄️❤️ #US #Texas #Houston
