Houston's Authentic Edomae Omakase in an LV Box 🍣

This isn't just a meal—it's an experience! Teppay, a hidden gem in Houston, serves its omakase in an LV box. Every tea cup, plate, and tiny dish is handpicked by the owner's wife from Japan. It's said that the chef, who has lived in Japan for nearly 20 years and is an avid angler, has a deep understanding of fish. 🐟 The omakase includes 13 courses. If you have a big appetite, you might want to add more dishes, but for those with a normal or smaller appetite, this will definitely fill you up. The shari (vinegared rice) is made with red vinegar, and each grain is distinct, oily, and plump. There are five pieces of sushi, and my favorites were the sea urchin and squid. The tuna was both bluefin and fatty, but the medium fatty tuna at Teppay was the best! 😋 I also loved the soup served in an 🍆 eggplant-shaped bowl, which is the owner's wife's favorite dish—hilarious, right? The final course was black truffle foie gras, and let me tell you, the portion was huge! After eating it, I needed a sip of sake to settle my taste buds.🌟 The biggest surprise was a skewer of bell pepper and shiso leaves that my friend ordered extra. It was divine! I'd trade all the meat and fish for this vegetarian delight! The restaurant is called Teppay, and the average cost for regular dishes is around $120. The omakase will officially be available next week, but the price is still unclear. You need to book four days in advance. However, considering the ingredients, flavors, decor, service, and all the little details, it's definitely worth it. #SushiLovers #HoustonFoodie #HoustonJapaneseCuisine
