🌿 Houston's Enchanted Oasis | Monet's Garden Palette 🎨🏟😅
Mercer Botanic Garden and Arboretum in Houston is a hidden gem of springtime! 🌸🌼 In the European-style garden, flowers are in full bloom, vintage statues mingle harmoniously with vibrant plants—every snapshot feels like a living painting. Each plant is thoughtfully labeled, making it the perfect spot to bring the little ones for a botany lesson! Butterflies flutter among the blooms, filling the air with life and serenity—it's incredibly therapeutic. Don't rush off after the garden tour! 🌳🌊 Across the way lies a serene wetland park (just search "Mercer Arboretum" on Google Maps). Head under the bridge and follow the trails—I recommend using the Park Map to plan your route. Two small wetlands worth visiting are "the oxbow" and "bald cypress swamp." Though compact, they're brimming with a primitive, tranquil vibe. You might even spot orchids on the wooden bridge at hickory bog! If time permits, Storey Lake is also a must-explore, but alas, I had to save it for next time. 😢 A heads-up: the wetland area requires a bit of hiking, and the scenery might not be as grand as you'd expect. But if you're like me and adore untouched natural landscapes, this unique, off-the-beaten-path experience is absolutely worth it. After all, it's rare to find such a combo near Houston—one moment you're snapping pics in a European-style garden, and the next, you're immersed in wetland ecology. Double the fun in one go! 🌿📸 📍 Address: Mercer Botanic Garden and Arboretum ⏰ Opening Hours: 8:00 AM - 7:00 PM 🎫 Admission: Free #HoustonParks #HoustonWeekend #HoustonPhotography
