Houston's Hidden Oasis | Edith L Moore Nature Sanctuary 🌲
This small park is a treasure trove of surprises! As soon as you enter, you'll see a vintage wooden cabin that's 94 years old. The weathered wood tells stories of the past. Walking along the path, a clear stream winds through the area, with the sound of bubbling water and lush greenery on both sides. It feels like you've stepped back into the countryside of your hometown. 🌿 In the stream, there are lots of turtles, and I even spotted a "family of three turtles🐢" basking in the sun. How relaxing! Lizards dart across the paths, squirrels jump around with pine cones, and rabbits munch on leaves in the grass without a care in the world. I was able to get some adorable close-up shots of them. The highlight was a peregrine falcon perched on a rock in the stream, just ten meters away from me. Unfortunately, I didn't have a telephoto lens, and the image was a bit blurry when zoomed in with my phone. I couldn't capture that rare moment perfectly. 🦅 The only downside is the litter scattered along the stream—plastic bottles and packaging bags are really an eyesore. I hope people will take better care of the environment and keep this natural paradise clean and beautiful. 😔 ⚠️ Tip : Wear long pants as there are many mosquitoes by the stream. Be sure to bring bug spray. 📍 Address : Edith L Moore Nature Sanctuary 🅿️ Parking : The parking area is quite narrow, so be cautious. 🚗 Parking Spot : HAS Cabin Parking #HoustonParks #Houston #HoustonPhotography #WetlandPark #DailyPhotography #BeginnerPhotographer #Birdwatching #PhotographyTips #PhotographerLife #PhotographyLovers #HoustonWeekend #FunInHouston #HoustonLife
