🌿 Houston's Wizard of Oz | A Palette of Monet's Garden

👀👀Mercer Botanic Garden and Arboretum in Houston: A Hidden Gem for Spring! In this European-style garden, hundreds of flowers are in full bloom. ❣️ Vintage statues and vibrant plants complement each other perfectly—every casual snap looks as beautiful as an oil painting. 🌈 Each plant is thoughtfully labeled with its name, making it an ideal spot to bring kids and help them learn about different flora! Butterflies flit among the blossoms, filling the air with vitality and a sense of calm that’s incredibly therapeutic.😊😊 🍐🎼Don’t leave right after exploring the garden! Just across the way lies a serene wetland park (search for "Mercer Arboretum" on Google Maps to find it). Walk under the bridge and follow the paths—we recommend using the Park Map to plan your route. Two must-visit small wetlands are the oxbow and the bald cypress swamp; though not large, they exude a quiet, primitive natural atmosphere. You might even spot orchids on the wooden bridge at the hickory bog! If you have extra time, Storey Lake is also worth a visit—unfortunately, we ran out of time this trip and will have to save it for next time. A note to keep in mind: The wetland area requires a short hike, and the scenery may not be as grand as you expect. ☀️☀️ 🌴🌴But if you, like me, love untouched natural settings, this unique off-the-beaten-path experience is absolutely worthwhile. After all, it’s hard to find a place near Houston that offers such a perfect combination: snap stunning photos in a European-style garden one minute, then explore a wetland ecosystem the next—double the fun in one visit!🍜 📍 Address: Mercer Botanic Garden and Arboretum ⏰ Hours: 8:00 AM - 7:00 PM 🎫 Admission: Free🍉🍉 #HoustonParks #HoustonWeekend
