Houston "Michelin" Ramen Experience at Mensho
⭐⭐⭐Today, a friend got an offer, so we went straight to Chinatown to celebrate after work. It was still early, and we noticed that Mensho, a so-called "Michelin" ramen restaurant that always has a long line, had a few empty seats. We decided to give it a try. We ordered three bowls of ramen, one roll, and a side dish.⭐⭐⭐ ✨✨Wagyu Texas BBQ - $39, the most expensive ramen on the menu and a Texas exclusive. It has a very strong smoky flavor, which is quite unique, and the quality of the Wagyu beef is excellent. G.K.O Garlic Knock Out - For those in the medical field, the term "knock out" might be a bit confusing, but it turns out to be extremely garlicky. The flavor is rich and slightly spicy. Even I, who usually don't eat garlic, found the broth delicious. ✨✨Signature - This is the classic tonkotsu ramen. In one word: rich and flavorful. Wagyu Uni Roll - Normally $32, but we got it for $25 today. It was a bit disappointing because the roll was very small, just one bite, though it was quite delicate. When we left the restaurant, we saw that the line had started to grow again. We also grabbed some dessert from a nearby shop. 😋Summary: Each ramen broth is very rich and has its own unique flavor. However, the portions are a bit small. My friends ordered extra noodles for $7. If you only order ramen, the average cost per person is around $35. It's worth trying if you haven't been here before, but if there's a long line, it might not be worth the wait. #HoustonFood #HoustonLife #HoustonRamen
