Houston | Must-Try Duck Tour in Galveston π¦
π If youβre traveling to Galveston with kids, I highly recommend trying the Duck Tour β itβs absolutely a hidden gem for family trips! π¦ When it comes to Duck Tours, the one in Boston is pretty famous β almost a must-do attraction for visitors. Surprisingly, Galveston has one too! π Location: 2415 Seawall Blvd, Galveston. Right at the entrance of Pleasure Pier, across from Chick-fil-A. π° Ticket Price: Adults: $30 Children (3-12): $20 Under 3: $10 β° Hours: 10:00 AM - 4:00 PM. Closed on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Usually closed on holidays too β it was closed the day before Christmas when we went. Better call ahead to confirm before you go! π’ Tour Duration: About 1 hour in total. The duck boat drives along Seawall, then splashes into the lake near the bridge with a view of Moody Garden. After that, it goes through the historic district before returning to the pier. π ΏοΈ Parking: There are plenty of free 2-hour parking spots on the streets perpendicular to the shore. Paid parking is also available along Seawall Blvd. π¦ The Galveston Duck Tour is family-owned, so there arenβt too many captains. Tours depart every 1-2 hours. I suggest going to the ticket office first to pick a time slot, then arriving 15 minutes early to get your preferred seats. π¦ In just one hour, you get to see almost the entire island of Galveston! The captain is super funny and shares lots of interesting stories about local history and landmarks along the way. π¦ Kids absolutely love this adventure β the moment the vehicle turns into a boat and splashes into the water, everyone gets super excited! People on the shore often shout "quack quack!" and wave at the passengers β such a fun interaction! π¦ Plus, since the duck boat sits up high, it feels like youβre riding on the top deck of a double-decker bus. The view is fantastic! π Strongly recommended for families with children! π¨βπ©βπ§βπ¦π #Houston #TravelWithKids #FamilyTravel #EasyTravelWithKids #TravelWithBaby #BeachWithKids #TravelWithChildren #Galveston #KidsActivities #Seaside #USATravel #DuckTourExperience #Travel
