🌅Houston Seaside: Galveston Sunrise + Old Town + Ferry Ride
Just an hour and a half drive to the Galveston seaside 🌊 Arrived half an hour before sunrise—not too crowded. Although the water isn’t crystal clear, the sunrise was still beautiful 😍 Sunrise viewing location: 📍2501 Seawall Blvd, Galveston, TX 77550 Afterwards, headed to Galveston’s Old Town 🏛️ Few people in the morning—great for photos! Street parking is available. Address: 📍2225 The Strand Unit 103, Galveston, TX 77550 Or search: Old Galveston Square Marker The pier next to the Old Town is also worth exploring—perfect for sitting by the sea and relaxing 🌊⛱️ Took the free ferry from Galveston to Bolivar ⛴️ Both pedestrians and vehicles ride for free! If you’re lucky, you might spot dolphins 🐬 Lots of seagulls follow the boat—great for photos and videos 📸 Restrooms are available on the ferry. After reaching the other side, Fort Travis Park is nearby 🏞️ It has pavilions and picnic tables—perfect for resting, having a picnic, feeding seagulls, and enjoying the sea view 🌊 The park also has restrooms. In the afternoon, you can head back the same way or stop by Kemah on the return trip 🎡 Kemah is about 40 minutes from Galveston.
