Houston | PAIK's NOODLE

🔥 A New Korean Noodle Shop Opens in Houston: PAIK’s NOODLE! A Carb-Lover’s Dream! 🍜 The old noodle shop in Chinatown has quietly transformed into a Korean fast-food noodle place! My partner and I went to give it a try over the weekend! 🏃‍♀️💨 After eating, all I can say is—carbs + Korean food = double the happiness! This place uses self-order kiosks, which is great for those who are socially anxious 👌 (Of course, there are no waiters either, so you can save on tips with the fully self-service experience). The main dishes are Jajangmyeon (black bean noodles) and seafood noodles 🍜, but you can also switch to rice 🍙 or fried noodles, or upgrade with extra meat and spiciness 🌶️. We ordered four dishes, and none of them disappointed! 🥳 1️⃣ 🌶️ Spicy Jajangmyeon As a fan of sweet and spicy flavors, I loved this! The sauce is rich but not overly salty, with a hint of sweetness and a kick from the green chili peppers. The soft and chewy noodles are perfect with it! There are also lots of onions and cabbage, making every bite super satisfying~ The only downside is that it’s a bit oily. 2️⃣ 🦑 Spicy Seafood Noodles The broth is so flavorful that I wanted to drink it all by itself! It has mussels, squid rings, and pork mince, along with onions🧅 and cabbage🥬. The spicy and savory flavors are amazing, and the aroma of the red and green chili peppers 🌶️ is irresistible. Having a bowl on a cold day really warms you up from the inside! (There were only two mussels😂—the menu picture is just for reference.) 3️⃣ 🍖 Sweet and Sour Pork Isn’t this just the Korean version of sweet and sour pork? The crispy fried pork is perfect with the sweet and tangy sauce, and it also has carrots and wood ear mushrooms. One bite and you’ll be completely enchanted by the fragrance! (The meat and sauce are served separately, so you don’t have to worry about the sauce being too overwhelming.) 4️⃣ 🐔 Sweet and Spicy Chicken Wings Classic Korean fried chicken—crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, with just the right amount of sweet and spicy sauce. But we ordered too much and couldn’t finish it all. #HoustonWeekendCouple #HoustonExploration #KoreanFood #KoreanJajangmyeon #SeafoodNoodles
