Houston | Sleeping Tonight with Dreams of BBQ Beef Brisket

After the disappointment from that last Houston BBQ place, I was determined to make up for it this time. I did my research and was ready to redeem myself with KILLEN'S BARBECUE! 🍃 Ambiance: The entire place has a classic Texas countryside vibe! Outside, it feels like you’re at a big yard BBQ 🎉 party. The interior is spacious, and the ordering process is self-service, similar to a fast-food chain. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ PLATES 3 MEATS The usual BBQ trio: Brisket, Sausage, and Pork Rib. The color alone just screams perfection—like an instant connection with your BBQ cravings! (PS. The author here is subtly dissing Terry Black's BBQ🤡). The smoke ring is beautiful, and the meat is juicy, tender, and perfectly smoky. I’m really impressed! Kudos to the sides, too—they’re excellent! The beans with little bits of meat are a fantastic addition! 🍖 Chicken Fried Ribeye: I was puzzled by the name at first. After asking the server, I found out it’s actually a breaded and fried steak, which is a local specialty. The outer layer is incredibly crispy, just like fried chicken. Since it’s a ribeye steak, it stays tender even when cooked a bit more, and the meat is very soft. The accompanying gravy has a slightly cheesy, creamy flavor, which pairs really well with it. It’s delicious and comes in a huge portion. It also comes with two sides. 🐙 Summary: Highly recommended! You definitely need to try this place! #LoudlyRecommendLocalFood #Houston #HoustonLife
