Houston | Thompson Houston Rooftop Pool is Absolutely Stunning!

Came to Houston for a visa appointment and stayed at the Thompson Houston with my little one for a couple of nights. Booked with 20k points per night — and without any special requests, we got a slight room upgrade! Here’s the honest take: ✅ The Good: ✨ Rooftop Pool – Heated to a perfect 90°F, clean water, and no strong chlorine smell (as expected from a luxury hotel!). Open from 7 AM to 10 PM, with complimentary ice water served poolside. ✨ Flooring – Beautiful and clean! So glad it’s not carpet — feels so much fresher. ✨ Bed & Linens – Super comfortable bed with high-quality sheets. ✨ Skyline Views – Gorgeous, especially from higher floors! ✨ New Hotel – No weird smells in the room — everything feels fresh and modern. ✨ Water Station – Complimentary water bars on each floor — love not having to constantly buy plastic bottles! ❌ The Not-So-Good: 🅿️ Valet Parking Only – A bit steep at $60 per day. 📍 Lobby on 7th Floor – A little confusing to find at first. 🧳 Standard Room Size – On the smaller side. 🍽️ Limited Dining Nearby – Not many restaurant options in the immediate area. 👨‍🍳 On-Site Restaurant Push – Staff kept recommending their in-house spot, but it seemed like standard American fare — nothing special. Overall, the rooftop pool totally made the stay — might just come back for that alone! 🏊‍♀️💙 Thompson Houston, by Hyatt 📍 1717 Allen Pkwy, Houston, TX 77019 #HoustonHotels #ThompsonHouston #LuxuryStay #RooftopPool #FamilyTravel #HyattHotels #HoustonTravel #HotelReview
