Houston | Who could resist a seafood risotto covered with beef?
👣👣Finally, I can have some decent food after coming back from Cuba. This Portuguese restaurant came highly recommended, so we decided to give it a try. It’s located in Midtown with street parking, and the atmosphere is perfect for dating.☔ PAELHA PORTUGUESA (Signature Seafood Rice) Besides seafood, it also includes beef and sausage. The beef is so well-cooked that it can rival those from steakhouses. Eating this creamy, sticky rice is such a delight!🏖️🏖️ POLVO COM BATATAS (Grilled Octopus with Potatoes) The octopus is chewy and tender. My friend was craving this so bad when we were in Cuba but never got to have it—guess who finally ate it? Hehe.🍡🍡 CALDEIRADA (Seafood Stew) It’s not particularly amazing, but still tasty. DESSERT FLIGHT (4 Assorted Desserts) All of them are too sweet, so I don’t really recommend them. The tiramisu has the most balanced sweetness among the four, but it’s not made in the traditional way. That said, the mascarpone part is really delicious.🍜🍜 A quick heads-up: Portuguese and Spanish dishes often come with lots of chopped cilantro! This is a big letdown for people who can’t stand cilantro.👣👣 The total cost for the above food, including tax and tip, is $155.☀️☀️ 🥙- Restaurant Name: Oporto Fooding House & Wine - Address: 125 W Gray St 500, Houston, TX 77019🥙 #Houston #HoustonFood #HoustonRestaurantHopping #HoustonRestaurants #HoustonPortugueseFood #HoustonSeafoodRice #HoustonMidtown
