Houston Food Adventure โ Texas-Style BBQ ๐
We indulged in Texas BBQ for two straight days in Houston โ totally satisfying! ๐ ๐ The Pit Room We ordered brisket and beef ribs, along with sides: beans, corn, and coleslaw. So tasty! My husband loved the beef ribs, though I found them a bit too fatty. The brisket was perfectly smoked โ tender and not dry at all. Personally, I think The Pit Room tops Pinkertonโs! We went early and didnโt wait long, but by 5-6 PM, the line was crazy long โ couldnโt even see the end! ๐๐ฅ ๐ Pinkertonโs Barbecue We went in the afternoon โ beef ribs were already sold out ๐ข We got brisket and pork ribs, with coleslaw and potato salad. The brisket was slightly dry, but still delicious overall. The potato salad had a strong mustard-mayo flavor, and the coleslaw was refreshing and balanced the richness well. The interior design here has such a classic Midwestern vibe โ feels like youโre in a movie! ๐ฌ I almost expected a cowboy to walk in with a hat and order a beer. ๐ค ๐บ ๐ Post Market Food Hall On our first night, we had dinner at this food hall. We tried the beef pie from 2 Phat Bastard Pies โ a bit too heavy for our taste. Then we ordered the South American-style ramen ๐ and chicken tacos ๐ฎ from Taco Fuego โ the ramen was overly seasoned, but the tacos were delicious! ๐ Finally, we got ice cream from Flower & Cream โ the rose with Texas honey flavor ๐ฆ was a surprise hit! Not overly sweet, and so good we almost ordered another. After dinner, we went up to the rooftop to enjoy the Houston downtown skyline ๐ โ the view was nice, but wow, it was hot! ๐ฅต The last few photos are from the breakfast at the Hyatt where we stayed and the lunch at the airport lounge โ both were generous and satisfying! ๐ณโ๏ธ #HoustonFood #HoustonEats #TexasBBQ #TexasGrill #TexasFood #TexasBBQScene#HoustonDining #HoustonTravel #HoustonExplored #TexasSteak #BBQLovers
