Houston Food Scene is Simply LEGENDARY! π½οΈβ¨
I just spent a week eating my way through Houston, and let me tell you β the food here absolutely lives up to the hype! π― Especially the Chinese food β it blows Dallas out of the water! π Hereβs my personal red (and black) list. If you have more recs, drop them below! π π Ciroβs Italian Grill A delicious Italian spot with balanced flavors that suit Chinese tastes perfectly! π Must-order: Fried Calamari β lightly battered, tender, and surprisingly juicy inside. π EntrΓ©es are HUGE β the roasted chicken is a half-bird feast (too much for one guy to finish!). π― Amazing value for money β definitely a repeat spot! π² Pho Dien One of Houstonβs oldest and most beloved pho spots! π₯© Their Pho Dac Biet (special combo) is packed with meat β I especially loved the beef balls! π₯¬ Fresh bean sprouts and herbs cut through the rich broth. π A squeeze of lime and lemon leaves brightens everything up β even pho-skeptics will be converted! β« Osha Thai Kitchen Sadly, a letdown. π¦ The squid was dry and chewy π¬ π₯ Shumai were just okay β nothing special. π Pad Thai was overly sweet and cloying. β Only saving grace: Minced Pork Basil Rice β savory, spicy, and super appetizing! π Hong Kongβs Cafe My go-to for a quick, satisfying lunch! π The Char Siu Rice is a dream β tender, flavorful BBQ pork thatβs lean yet juicy. π¨βπ³ Owned by a Hong Kong native β tastes legit! π₯¦ Comes with simple broccoli β Iβd suggest adding a side of greens. π Little Lamb House A Northwest Chinese gem that even rivals spots back in China! π² Lamb Tripe Soup, Baked Naan, Lamb Skewers, and Spicy Cold Lamb Shank β all incredibly authentic and satisfying. π₯ No notes β just pure deliciousness. Will be back! π₯© Texas Roadhouse A Texas classic β like the Pizza Hut of steakhouses (but better, of course). π Solid but not mind-blowing. π© Ladies, the 12oz Ribeye might be too much β go for the filet. π Skip the mushrooms on the steak (theyβre salty!), and the corn side can be a bit heavy. #HoustonEats #HoustonFood #HoustonChineseFood #HoustonTravel #FoodReview #HitOrMiss
