Houston Michelin Dining Experience | BCN Taste & Tradition
🌟This past Lunar New Year's Eve, I visited the legendary BCN Taste & Tradition, known as the pinnacle of Spanish cuisine in Houston and awarded one Michelin star in 2024. The restaurant features a modern art-inspired ambiance, with a perfect atmosphere. Before the meal even began, we were treated to several complimentary amuse-bouches, including bread, salmon tartare, and Spanish ham.🌟 1️⃣ Egg Yolk Carpaccio & Grilled Baby Artichoke I ordered two appetizers. The carpaccio was topped with a creamy yolk, which I initially mistook for some kind of cheese. Combined with the ham and mashed potatoes, it was delicious! The second appetizer was the baby artichoke, which had a tender, almost glutinous texture. 2️⃣ Beet Ravioli Salad The ravioli featured a beetroot wrapper, paired with pistachios and raspberries. The dish was refreshing and sweet, and I highly recommend it! 3️⃣ Squid Ink Paella The squid ink paella was packed with a variety of seafood, including sea bass, shrimp, and octopus. The rice had a great texture, but the dish was a bit too salty. Those who prefer lighter flavors should be cautious when ordering this. 4️⃣ Grilled Lamb Chops I ordered the lamb chops medium-rare. They were rich in fat and very juicy, but the lamb had a strong gamey flavor. If you're sensitive to this, you might want to think twice. 5️⃣ Ginger Lime & Mocktail The cocktail menu primarily featured various gin & tonics, along with a few mocktails. The drinks were fruity and slightly bitter, likely due to the addition of spices like star anise, which added a rich layer of flavor. #HoustonFood #HoustonLife #MichelinFood #TexasMichelin #FoodieDiary #MichelinRestaurant
