Rose Wine Soy Sauce Chicken 🌟🌟 The chicken is of great quality, with smooth skin and tender meat. The soy sauce flavor is a bit strong, and the rose wine aroma is slightly subtle, but overall, it’s still very good! Beef Brisket and Tendon Pot 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 Highly recommended! The flavors are incredibly deep. Both the beef brisket and tendon are stewed until they’re meltingly tender, and they go perfectly with rice. This is authentic Cantonese cuisine, not an Americanized version! Pig’s Trotter with Shrimp Noodles 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 The owner says the pig’s trotters are stewed for ten hours, making them soft, flavorful, and full of collagen. The noodles are made with shrimp roe, which gives them a chewy and bouncy texture, and the seasoning is just right. Iced Milk Tea 🌟🌟🌟🌟 The tea flavor is rich but not astringent or greasy. It’s the authentic Hong Kong-style milk tea! The sweetness is just right, and you can ask the owner for less sugar or no sugar at all. A cup in the summer is pure bliss! Red Bean Ice 🌟🌟🌟🌟 A big surprise! The ice cream on top is clearly homemade by the restaurant, with a rich dairy flavor and a slightly traditional icy texture, just like the taste from the teahouses of my childhood. The red beans below are smooth but still retain their grainy texture, making every bite satisfying! Char Siu It’s more like sweet char siu sauce poured over pork, which has a bit of an Americanized Chinese food vibe. Not highly recommended. Service is a Big Plus! We originally ordered pigeon, but when it was unavailable, the owner comped our iced milk tea! We ordered a lot, and the owner even encouraged us to “eat more!” (Although we ended up taking most of it home in a doggy bag, haha.) The flavors are authentic, the prices are reasonable, and the portions are super generous. Most importantly, it brings back the taste of my childhood.
