How can one place be so good at cooking chicken?! πŸ—πŸ”₯

Food Exploration Plan: 8/100 🀩 This time, it’s a cozy Japanese charcoal-grilled chicken spot! The vibe is totally authentic, like a small shop in Japan – the chef grills the chicken right in front of you over charcoal! 🍚✨ β€” Torisoba Sumiya 🍱 It’s located near Sawtelle (LA’s Little Osaka), right across from Nijiya Market. We tried their signature Japanese BBQ Chicken Ramen – the chicken had that amazing charcoal-grilled aroma and was incredibly tender! The noodles and broth were super fragrant, probably made with rich chicken stock. That first bite was mind-blowing! πŸœπŸ’– We ordered the Combo: one bowl of noodles + a small rice bowl 🍚 For the rice bowl, we chose the Small Fried Chicken with Tartar Sauce – since I love tartar sauce, this was the perfect pick! The chicken was juicy and tender, and paired with the tartar sauce, it was delicious! The small size only comes with 3-4 pieces of chicken, though. 🍒 We sat where we could watch the chef cook – seeing the charcoal-grilling process was really fun! πŸ‘¨πŸ³πŸ‘€ πŸ“ Address: 11301 W Olympic Blvd #101, Los Angeles, CA 90064 What’s your favorite Japanese comfort food spot?
